Making Virtual Learning Accessible
As the education world transitions to online learning, students with disabilities are most likely to be left behind. Here we share some of the strategies and tools that Shepherds College used and recommends to make learning accesible to students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Meet the instructor
Kristen Lewis is an instructor at Shepherds College. She received her undergraduate degree in special and early childhood education from Cedarville University in and her graduate degree in urban education from Union University. Kristen has taught in both general and special education classes since 2013 in Memphis (TN), Bolivia, and now Shepherds College. She believes in being a life-long learner and values creating connections between ideas as well as connections with and between others.
